LAS VEGAS BOWL CELEBRATING 25TH YEAR WITH NEW LOGO

logo-vegas-1LAS VEGAS (July 26, 2016) – To kick off a celebration of its 25th year, the Las Vegas Bowl has released a special-edition logo that is as colorful and exciting as the city it calls home.

Inspired by the world-renowned signage that helped make Las Vegas famous, the new, shield-shaped logo features yellow, red, fuschia and light-blue neon tubing displayed over a black base framed in silver. Fittingly, the logo made its debut on the first day of the Mountain West Conference Media Days held on the Las Vegas Strip.

“As the Las Vegas Bowl reaches the significant milestone of 25 years, we wanted to introduce a logo that represents the community that makes up the world’s most exciting city,” said Las Vegas Bowl Executive Director John Saccenti.

The 25th Las Vegas Bowl, which is now the 16th-oldest active postseason bowl game, will be played Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. PT at Sam Boyd Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on ABC, featuring the top choice from the Mountain West against the sixth pick from the Pac-12 Conference.

Tickets, on sale now, are priced ranging from $25-$250, depending on location. Visit www.lvbowl.com to purchase or for more information.

Last year’s edition saw No. 22 Utah defeat BYU 35-28 in front of a crowd of 42,213, which marked the event’s eighth sellout in the last 11 years.

The Las Vegas Bowl is one of 13 FBS bowls owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN.
