Las Vegas comes alive as both competing teams get a glimpse of the Entertainment Capital of the World for the first time. The excitement and anticipation of players, coaches and staffs of both competing teams will be at its highest as teams begin settling in for an amazing week of bowl activities.
Coaches, spouses, and school dignitaries enjoy a hearty reception and unique culinary experience at a selected Las Vegas strip restaurant.
Bowl Week is officially kicked off on the iconic Fremont Street Experience, where teams get a glimpse of the classic atmosphere of downtown Las Vegas. Under lights that span more than three football fields in length, teams enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet courtesy of Buca di Beppo. Following dinner, players will prove their talents extend beyond the playing field as they take to the stage for their very own talent show. Live entertainment concludes the evening.
Both teams will enjoy Show Night at Sphere. An immersive two-part experience featuring interactive Atrium exhibits and the Wizard of Oz will dazzle the players in one of the world’s most unique entertainment settings. At the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl, we pride ourselves in giving the players a unique gift that they will always remember. This year, the players will be designing their own Air Jordan 1s as a part of their gift package.
All players from both teams will assist with distribution of food items for families in need prior to the Christmas holiday. More than 400 Las Vegas families will benefit from their efforts.
The ladies from the participating teams will enjoy a day out at Downtown Summerlin to relax and enjoy more of what Las Vegas has to offer. This includes a walk around the town, shopping, various activities and a delicious lunch courtesy of La Neta Cocina y Lounge.
The kids from each team will get to enjoy their own day of fun at Downtown Summerlin. Their day includes lunch and games at Dave & Buster’s and other activities.
Coaches, student-athletes, athletic staff and the official travel party will join the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl Committee, Huddle, staff, sponsors, community leaders, and fans for the Kickoff Luncheon Presented by Toyota at the Virgin Hotel. The event will celebrate 34 years of the Las Vegas Bowl, and will include band performances, a guest speaker and interviews with the Head Coach and selected players from each team. The Kickoff Luncheon will run from 11:30am-1:30pm.
The annual tradition of the Pep Rally is a great opportunity for fans of both teams to get fired up for the Las Vegas Bowl. Featuring the bands, cheerleaders, mascots and more, the Pep Rally, presented by Coca-Cola will be held at Fremont Street Experience and is full of the excitement that defines college football fans all over the country. The Pep Rally will run from 5-7:30 p.m. and is open to all fans.
There is no better way to get ready for a college football game than at the official tailgate party for the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. The Pregame Fan Fest outside Allegiant Stadium (Lot C) is the place to be for live music, food, games, and a battle of the bands from the two participating schools. Don’t miss out on the chance to be at the best pre-game party in the business. The Fan Fest will run from 9:30 a.m.-Noon.
The 34th Las Vegas Bowl will be played Wednesday, December 31 at 12:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. Eastern). Taking place in the NFL’s newest stadium, this year’s game will match a team from the iconic Big Ten Conference against a former Pac 12 member. Last year’s game was featured as one of the best bowls of the season as USC edged out Texas A&M. Fans should expect a similar matchup this season.
