Teams Hotel Arrival

It’s a welcome reception unlike any other. Including appearances by Elvis and custom player gifts, it’s a fun time to introduce the players and coaches to the City of Lights.

Coaches & VIP Reception at Maverick Helicopters

Coaches, their wives, and school dignitaries enjoy a reception full of entertainment, fun, and a unique culinary experience. To top off the night, these coaches and VIP will experience an aerial tour of Vegas courtesy of Maverick Helicopters.

Opportunity Village Player Visit 

December 13th 

Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization serving adults in the southern Nevada community with intellectual and related disabilities, to enhance their lives and the lives of the families who love them. On December 13, players from the participating teams, along with mascots and cheer, volunteer their time and interact closely with the men and women of Opportunity Village to provide an exceptional experience for everyone.

Buca di Beppo Welcome Reception

December 13 - 5:30PM

Bowl Week is officially kicked off on the iconic Fremont Street Experience, while teams get a glimpse of the classic and legendary Las Vegas Atmosphere downtown. Under lights spanning over three football fields in length, teams enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet from the amazing Buca di Beppo. Players will also showcase their talents off the field and on the stage, followed by live entertainment.

Goodie Two Shoes Visit and Shoe Distribution

Players volunteer with the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation to provide underprivileged children with the opportunity to pick out new shoes, while also enjoying various activities. The players will visit a local elementary school to create an enjoyable experience for the children, while also experiencing a taste of the Las Vegas community’s heart and soul.

Downtown Summerlin Ladies’ Day

The ladies from the participating teams enjoy a day out at Downtown Summerlin to relax and enjoy more of what Las Vegas has to offer. The ladies will walk around town, shop, enjoy a delicious lunch courtesy of Andiron Steak & Sea, and participate in various activities.

Downtown Summerlin Kids’ Day

The kids from each team get to enjoy their own day of fun at Downtown Summerlin. Their day starts with lunch and games at Dave & Buster’s, followed by a choice of activities to do during the day.

High Roller at the LINQ

December 14 - 5:00 pm

The LINQ High Roller experience is a chance for fans to see their favorite team parade through the LINQ Promenade prior to riding the World’s Largest Observation Wheel, the High Roller. Players will experience the neon lights of the Las Vegas Strip from 550 feet up.

Kickoff Luncheon presented by Dignity Health

December 15 - 12:00PM

With just over 24 hours until game time, the Las Vegas Bowl will host the Annual kickoff Luncheon presented by Dignity Health at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel. This luncheon will feature guest speaker Merril Hoge as well as both teams, bands, and cheerleaders.

Fremont Street Experience Pep Rally

December 15 - 6:00 PM

The annual tradition of the Fremont Street Experience Pep Rally is a great opportunity for fans of both teams to truly get excited about the las Vegas Bowl. Featuring the bands, cheerleaders, mascots and more, the Pep Rally is the excitement that defines college football fans all over the country.

Bud Light Pre-Game Fan Fest

December 16 - 9:00AM

There is no better way to get ready for a college football game than a great tailgate party. The Bud Light Pre-Game Fan Fest is the place to be for live music, food, games, and a battle of the bands from the two participating schools. Don’t miss out on the chance to be at the best pre-game party in the business.

Las Vegas Bowl XXVI Kickoff

The 26th Las Vegas Bowl will kick off live on ABC at 12:30 p.m. PST. It will be an experience like none other in college football as we bring entertainment from the world famous Las Vegas strip onto a live stage inside Sam Boyd Stadium, followed by a matchup between two great teams.

The 2016 Las Vegas Bowl featured many fun bowl week events for the University of Houston and San Diego State University traveling parties, sponsored by our wonder friends at Mandalay Bay, Hard Rock Hotel, Maverick Helicopters, and Fremont Street!

A long with our other amazing bowl week events, the members of the University of Houston and San Diego State University participated in some charity outreach in two of our local charity organizations, Goodie Two Shoes and Opportunity Village!

Take a spin on the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel, for a 30 minute ride with stunning, 360-degree views of downtown Las Vegas and beyond.

At 550-feet above the ground and centrally located on The Strip, passengers will get great views of surrounding landmarks in the Vegas skyline.

Grab a drink before boarding at the wheelhouse at the base of the ride and be sure to spend some time exploring the LINQ outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment area.

One ride takes 30 minutes ride. Open until 6pm. Present your pass at the High Roller Guest Entrance. Children 12 and under do not need an admission ticket to enter.

2 Fremont Street Experience is a five-block entertainment district in historic downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The centerpiece of Fremont Street Experience is Viva Vision, the world’s largest video screen. The Viva Vision screen is 1,500 feet long, 90 feet wide and is suspended 90 feet above the pedestrian mall below. The screen has 12.5 million LED lights and a 550,000-watt sound system.
 3 SlotZilla at Fremont Street Experience is a 12-story, slot machine-inspired zip line attraction and is one of the best things to do in Las Vegas.

SlotZilla offers two ways to fly, the lower “Zipline” and upper “Zoomline.” How much is SlotZilla? It’s $25 for the Zipline, $45 for the Zoomline. Save $5 on either line by flying before 6:00 p.m.
