UCLA's Jack And CSU's Bibbs Honored By Bowl

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 13, 2013) – The Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl continues its third season of conducting weekly Facebook player-of-the-week polls, driven by fan votes, recognizing exemplary on-field play within the two Bowl affiliated conferences, the Pac-12 and Mountain West.

The SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Pac-12 and Mountain West Player of the Week for week 11 are:

SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Pac-12 Player of the Week
Myles Jack, Freshman, Linebacker, UCLA (Bellevue, WA/Bellevue HS)
A first time winner, Jack recorded eight tackles, including one tackle for loss, recovered a fumble and had two pass break-ups in UCLA’s 31-26 win over Arizona. He also led the team with 120 rushing yards and one touchdown on six carries in his offensive debut for the Bruins. His lone score came on a 66-yard scamper on third down to give UCLA a 31-19 lead in the fourth quarter. Jack joins Jordon James as the only Bruins to earn the SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Pac-12 honor. Jack also becomes the second defensive player to earn the honor this season.

SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Mountain West Player of the Week
Kapri Bibbs, Sophomore, Running Back, Colorado State (Plainfield, IL/Plainfield North HS/ Snow College/Front Range CC)
A first time winner, Bibbs rushed for a school-record 312 yards and four touchdowns, which tied a school record, on 30 carries in Colorado State’s 38-17 win over Nevada. His 312 yards are the most yards recorded by a running back this season and breaks a school record that was set in 1989. He has also set a school record for the most consecutive games with at least three rushing scores, which now stands at four. He is the first Ram to earn the SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Mountain West honor this season.

Each week, players from both the Pac-12 and Mountain West conferences will be selected for nomination and then posted for voting. All college football fans are welcome to cast their vote starting on Monday each week for Player of the Week at www.facebook.com/lvbowl.
