LAS VEGAS (Oct. 16, 2013) - The Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl continues its third season of conducting weekly Facebook player-of-the-week polls, driven by fan votes, recognizing exemplary on-field play within the two Bowl affiliated conferences, the Pac-12 and Mountain West.

SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Pac-12 Player of the Week

A first time winner, Mannion was 34-of-51 for 493 yards and four touchdowns in Oregon State's 52-24 win over Washington State. It was the fifth consecutive time that he has thrown for over 350 yards and his 493 passing yards set a school record. In the fourth quarter he was a perfect 8-of-8 for 109 yards and two touchdowns which helped the Beavers score 28 points to secure the win. He is the first Oregon State player to receive the SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Pac-12 Player of the Week honor.

SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Mountain West Player of the Week
Nolan Kohorst, Senior, Place Kicker, UNLV (Las Vegas, NV/Green Valley HS)
A first-time winner, Kohorst kicked the first game-winning field goal of his career as UNLV defeated Hawaii 39-37. That kick was part of a career night for him, as he finished 4-of-4 with field goals coming from the distances of 35, 19, 41 and 44. He also added three extra points to give him 15 total points in the game, which tied a UNLV record for points by a kicker. He is only the second UNLV player to earn the SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Mountain West Player of the Week honor, as Bradley Randle was honored last season.

Each week, players from both the Pac-12 and Mountain West conferences will be selected for nomination and then posted for voting. All college football fans are welcome to cast their vote starting on Monday each week for Player of the Week at www.facebook.com/lvbowl.
