MAACO Bowl Las Vegas Ranked No. 7
Among All Bowls
LAS VEGAS - Boasting its first-ever ranked matchup with No. 14/15 BYU taking on No. 16/20 Oregon State, the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas on Dec. 22 has been rated as the seventh-best bowl this season by ESPN.com.
ESPN writer Mark Schlabach ranked all 34 bowl games from 1-34 and the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas was the top game among those played before New Year's and stood behind only the BCS National Championship Game, the Fiesta, the Rose, the Sugar, the Capital One and the Gator Bowl overall.

This year's gridiron battle in the Entertainment Capital of the World is also one of only four non-BCS bowl games to feature a contest between teams both ranked in the latest Associated Press poll. The others are No. 14 Miami vs. No. 24 Wisconsin in the Champs Sports Bowl, No. 22 Arizona vs. No. 20 Nebraska in the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, and No. 11 Penn State vs. No. 13 LSU in the Capital One Bowl.
The MAACO Bowl Las Vegas, which is owned and operated by ESPN Regional Television (ERT), will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. Last year, the 17th edition of the Las Vegas Bowl attracted 40,047 fans to Sam Boyd Stadium, which marked the game's fourth consecutive sellout as Arizona defeated BYU 31-21.
