Final Player Of The Week Nods Go To Huff And Fales
LAS VEGAS (Dec. 4, 2013) – The Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl continues its third season of conducting weekly Facebook player-of-the-week polls, driven by fan votes, recognizing exemplary on-field play within the two Bowl affiliated conferences, the Pac-12 and Mountain West.

Josh Huff, Senior, Wide Receiver, Oregon (Tucson, AZ/Canyon del Oro HS)
Carey earns his first SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Pac-12 Player of the Week honor this season after he caught a career-best nine passes for a career-high 186 yards and three touchdowns, including the winning score, in Oregon’s 36-35 win in the Civil War over Oregon State. His performance ranks as the 10th best single-game as a receiver in Oregon history. Huff now has 23 career TDs, which ranks as the fourth-most in school history. He has caught 57 passes, which ranks as the eighth-most in Oregon history.

Player of the Week
David Fales, Senior, Quarterback, San José State (Salinas, CA/Palma HS/Nevada/Monterey Peninisula College)
Fales earns his first SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Mountain West Player of the Week honor this season after going 37-of-45 for a Mountain West record 547 yards and six touchdowns in San José State’s 62-52 win over Fresno State. He also had one rushing score and accounted for seven of the eight Spartan TDs. He finished with 33 rushing yards giving him 580 yards of total offense, which is the second-highest total in MW history. The 547 yards are the second-most by an FBS quarterback this season.

Nominated players will be selected the Sunday after the week’s play and presented on the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl’s official fan page (http://www.facebook.com/lvbowl) Monday at noon with fan voting ending Wednesday at noon. Winners will be announced Wednesday afternoons. Two players, sans any ties, will be announced as their respective conference’s SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Player of the Week.
